Two questions regarding basing ...
The understanding is that each full unit is 120mm across its front. At the same time, the author of the rules also uses two half bases of 60mm across, and I was wondering what the reason for this is?
Also, I'm preparing GW's modular movement trays to be able to use the basing for different figures inserted into the movement trays depending on the era being used for a game. I'm looking at using 60mm across the front with a depth of just a little over 40mm, thus 2 half bases for DoB. Inorder to hold the figures (based on 20mm bases) on the trays, I might need to put small side pieces on at the center of the sides which will make the center of the bases slightly longer than than 60mm, more like 70mm. If the trays are set up like this, they have 5cm of siding on each side, which would create 10cm gaps between the half bases and thus lengthen the distance across the full unit from 120mm to 130mm. Wondering how much this matters for DoB?
